How was your long weekend, friends? Ours was so lovely! We got to visit with some family, and the rest of the time enjoyed our back pergola with yummy meals and drinks. The weather was beautiful the entire time, which for an Alberta May Long weekend is highly unusual (it has a history of snowing and raining). We also started mapping out some updates we are going to be doing to our master bedroom, and it is so exciting when you see the beginnings of your plans coming together. It will probably take me awhile to get there, but sometime down the road I will be excited to show you! Living in a northern climate means we are still waiting for spring to bring with it the lovely greenery and flowers, but because we have some beautiful trees and shrubs in our yard from @bluegrasscgy , I am so excited in looking ahead to spending time outside this summer! I am sharing on the blog all about how @bluegrasscgy helped us to bring our backyard vision to life in my endeavour to create a mini outdoor oasis at our home. I am really looking forward to the weekend! It will be my husband and I’s 8th wedding anniversary. Even though we have to be at home, I am looking forward to the fun little plans we have made together, and for lots of intentional time spent. Since we are still stuck inside and it’s been pretty gloomy out, here’s a photo from my mudroom last summer that’s making me feel a bit more joyful today. I will likely have a similar set up this year, since I use a lot of the same clothes and accessories year over year. It makes me happy to keep things looking and feeling simple in my life. What do you think you are most looking forward to once isolation is over (or whenever you choose for it to be over, I suppose)? For me, I think it will be the simple pleasures of having friends over to connect face to face, and perusing HomeSense.
