Hi friends! Thanks for stopping by The Porch Light Cottage today. I am so excited, because in this post I get to show you my fall mantle for this year. I am so thankful that we have a fireplace and mantle, even in our small condo, and I always have so much fun setting it up each season. I actually really changed it up this year! I am pretty happy with how it turned out, so I hope you enjoy it as well.
. . .
When first arranging the mantle this season, it looked like this..
Here is the section with the crate..
I was really liking it! But after a day or so I felt like it was missing something.. so I took my husband with me down to Fish Creek Park (a local provincial park here in Calgary), and we went searching for some easily attainable fall foliage. Here is what I came up with after that!
I think that the leaves on the branches add a really nice touch! What do you think? Here are a few more pictures..
We got this crate from a random store when we were in Invermere, BC this summer. A lady was having a closing out sale of her consignment store, and it was actually just part of her display. We offered her $10 for it and it was ours!
I got this cute little clock from Home Outfitters a couple of years ago. It actually doesn’t work right now because it fell off the mantle one day.. (shh). Gotta fix that!
I picked up these candle holders from Crate and Barrel sometime last year and have been using them throughout the house ever since.
I always like to have a picture of my husband and I on our wedding day up there. It’s such a great reminder of the joy we experienced that day, and how we seek to remain joyful throughout all days in our marriage.
. . .
Well, that’s my mantle for this fall season. I would love to hear what you think! Do you like the addition of the autumn leaves? Feel free to leave a comment below!
Thanks again for visiting.
