MERRY & BRIGHT CHRISTMAS HOME - PT. 1

It’s that time of year once again - the season that so many of us look forward to all year long. I know I say it every year, but Christmas truly is my absolute favourite time. Strolling through Christmas markets hand in hand with your love, sipping a hot chocolate, observing all the hustle and bustle while bundled up to keep warm. Enjoying plentiful time with family and friends at holiday gatherings and family dinners. Watching from your windowsill as snow falls gently down, illuminated by the twinkling lights on houses up and down the street. Seasonal baking in the kitchen with a glass of mulled wine, and your favourite Christmas songs playing in the background. Watching Christmas movies while snuggled up under a cozy blanket. Giving gifts, thoughtfully wrapped up in pretty packaging. Sharing in meaningful family traditions that bring a lightness to your heart. SIMPLE, SMALL ENTRYWAY DECOR

Hi there, all! Well, we are officially into the autumn season by a couple of days, and I am finally able to embrace it fully. I personally do so as soon as August comes to a close, however it’s now more socially acceptable, haha.
This past Sunday afternoon, my husband and I went on a lovely drive together in the countryside near our home. Here, the third weekend of September is historically the weekend where many of the leaves have changed colour, but most of them are still fluttering brightly on the trees. We are also usually gifted with a spotlessly sunny and blue sky, and this combination creates a beautiful mosaic of autumn colours over the landscape. This is something I have taken note of over the past 6 or 7 years, so we always make a point to get out at least one of the afternoons that weekend to soak in the season. Troy and I have a specific spot we visit, where a grouping of immense trees have begun showering down their leaves, creating a vast area to enjoy the crunch beneath your feet as you walk along the path. WHITE & WHIMSICAL CHRISTMAS KITCHEN

Every year during the holiday season, I love to crank up the Christmas music and enjoy spending some time in the kitchen baking seasonal treats for my family. There is almost nothing like it to get you in the holiday spirit. And, as most of you know by now, we moved into our first home earlier this year, so it is an especially exciting time!

MUDROOM RENOVATION & REFRESH

Hi, friends! I hope you are all doing well on this chilly Tuesday.
We have been up to our shins in snow since November 1st came, which is typical for our city, and it has me looking forward to the holiday season. It is interesting thinking about being in a new place for the holidays for the first time, though. For the past 5 years, I have been used to having just our one small room to decorate in the apartment we lived in, plus maybe adding a couple of touches to the bedroom. INTERIOR STYLE INSPIRATION

Hi, everyone! I know it has been awhile since you have heard from me, so it is good to be back!
At the end of April this year, my husband and I moved into our first purchased home. It has been so exciting, and we have been so grateful, to have a home that is ours - a place we can finally plant some roots and build into - rather than living the rental house life.
