Hi, everyone! I haven’t posted in awhile, and with fall right around the corner I thought I would just show you some photos that I have taken around our place throughout the summer. These are over the course of the last month or two, but will give you a little glimpse into how our home has been set up during the summer season! I will be honest, I got this idea because last night I brought out some pumpkins and changed things around a little bit in anticipation of autumn. My husband thought I was a little crazy for doing that this early on, but went along with it as he always does, haha. I hope all of those who are still hanging onto the warm weather and sunny days enjoy this post!
I usually stick pretty close to neutrals, so it was fun this season for me to incorporate some colour via navy blue textiles. I’ve also loved having green foliage sprinkled throughout the home.
Fresh flowers are also a must around here during summer!
I picked up this blanket (that is actually a picnic blanket) from Home Sense this year. I wanted to incorporate the navy blue throughout, so it was perfect to add to my ladder.
We are currently housing our family’s table at our place since we don’t have a table of our own (thanks, fam!), and though I didn’t do a complete tablescape this season, I did enjoy adding some chinoiserie style bowls and fresh lemons for awhile to bring in those summer colours.
I have also been craving simplicity in my decorating this year, so creating this mantle was pretty easy since I didn’t give myself very many items to work with!
I snapped this photo because I was excited about my new pillow from Craftberry Bush. It added such a nice pop of colour to my home this season while allowing the rest of my decor to remain neutral as well. She has many designs and is so talented, so be sure to check it out!
Well, there isn’t too much else to for you to see around here! This summer has seemed like a bit of a whirlwind for us, so I was lacking in my photos and in doing a proper summer home tour for you all. I am excited for some things for fall though, so stay tuned for some more posts then! I would love to hear what you thought of my summer home, and would also love to know how you have decorated for summer this year.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
